Phyllobates terribilis, the Golden Poison Frog from Colombia. Being one of the deadliest organisms on the planet, its skin secretions can kill 6-10 adult humans. Despite its lethality, the Golden Poison Frog is imperiled and disappearing throughout its native Colombia. The toxic compounds in the frog's skin cannot save it from the causes of the global amphibian declines such as: habitat loss, acidification, environmental contamination, and emergent infectious disease.
