White-spotted Glass Frog, Sachatamia albomaculata is a beautiful centrolenid from #Panama. The frog pictured here was born in the #frogPOD and is the offspring of parents collected during an expedition to Panama in 2005. The project, initiated by @zooatl , @atlbotanical and #evacc was designed to rescue frogs and conserve the biodiversity of central Panama which at the time was threatened by the deadly chytrid fungus. Chytrid fungus reduced the amphibian population in that region by 85% #Sachatamiaalbomaculata #Sachatamia #Centrolenidae #glassfrog #captivebreeding #amphibianconservation
