A proud momma! Adult leucistic female #Axolotl or #MexicanWalkingFish with part of her first clutch of eggs. If these eggs develop and hatch, they will be our first f2 #Axolotls in the #HerpetologyLab at the Amphibian Foundation. Admittedly, this isn’t a great picture, but I was able to quickly capture her expression and close proximity to her eggs. The majority of this clutch was scattered around the enclosure, but a few were tucked in this cave where she was lurking. #Ambystoma #Ambystomamexicanum #CaptiveBreeding #HerpLab #HerpetologyLab #AmphibianFoundation
