Art Installation Benefits the Amphibian Foundation!

We were contacted by Valeria Vazquez Garcia, she and Sabrina Stolls of Nevada created an interesting and amphibious art installation which also raised some support for the Amphibian Foundation.

We are grateful for that support so I wanted to share their words and art with you all here!

Here is the installation room my friend, Sabrina Solis, and I, Valeria Vazquez, created. Before our wishing pond we wrote Sylvia Plath's poem, "Frog Autumn" on the floor. We painted a kiddie pool black and put it on black stands, added sprayfoam, and painted that  green once it hardened. We decorated the inside with handmade ceramic toads, carved out tadpoles and sprinkled pebbles and rocks inside. The walls were painted green and decorated with plastic. We did this because we think toads and frogs are cute, and believe it's important to protect an indicator species. We hope you're inspired and we hope that we've provided you with a little bit of assistance in preventing further degradation of their habitats.
