Spotted Salamander, Ambystoma maculatum The Amphibian Foundation works to study, conserve and repatriate Spotted Salamanders in our urban landscape. This species requires ephemeral wetlands and intact adjacent uplands to thrive. Working with partners like the Atlanta History Center and Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve, we are increasing the numbers of these incredible salamanders right here in the metro Atlanta region. #SpottedSalamander #AmphibiousAF
